Another great solution for H2 fuelling systems from Maximator.
The X Tower system is a modular Hydrogen compressor solution for Integrators and manufacturers of H2 refuelling systems. It is sized for small fleet applications up to 900 Bar and in the 10 to 20 kg/hr range.
The range uses the proven Maximator EHB electro-hydraulic boosters, the same as used in the company’s GFS small fleet size hydrogen compressor systems. The modules can be mixed and matched to provide a range of pressure and flow options. The modules are compact and removable for service or exchange.
Incredible HULC demolishes the hard work of creating modular refuelling solutions with rack mounted Hydrogen generators.
Maximator’s HULC (Hydrogen unique linear compressor) series has been configured to work with standard 19″ rack mounted electrolyser units.
Using this system it is easy to configure modular and expandable high pressure hydrogen systems for vehicle refuelling, power to gas or power to power installations.
Maximator’s Jon Butler says “The beauty of HULC is that modules can be combined to give 140, 400 or 1000 Bar applications. Adding modules can scale up your application and there are standard connecting elements to make assembly of the systems easy. The modules require no electrical energy. Maximator UK can configure standard elements or provide bespoke solutions.”

Maximator are working to advance our ideas and developments for mobility solutions.
With this in mind, Mathias Kurras presents our new hydrogen flagship – The first of our factories devoted to Hydrogen systems for refuelling.
Maximator UK offers systems from across the Maximator companies for Hydrogen. From full scale “highway” refuelling station systems such as those made in Mr. Kurras’ factory, to systems for small fleet operators to pilot and test equipment for Hydrogen.
We are proud to be involved in this great new project to deliver green refuelling capability at Mira’s world class facility in Nuneaton. Maximator’s contribution is MAX Compression, our Hydrogen compression technology, and MAX RECAB, a manifold system to allow connection to storage systems. Read more about the project on MIRA’s website, and watch their exciting video below.
Jon, Craig and Peter spent most of last week at Maximator’s Global headquarters in Nordhausen, Germany, getting to grips with the firm’s latest Hydrogen refuelling technologies.
Spending time at each of Maximator’s three factories in the town, they were able to meet up with colleagues for the first time since the beginning of 2020!
“Maximator has undergone an intensive program of development and now has a leading position in hydrogen technologies” said Jon Butler. “There is a lot to learn, but it is clear we have a very comprehensive offering for refilling vehicles and storage facilities with hydrogen across the range”.
Technical Chief Craig McAfee added “This really is an impressive organisation focused on Hydrogen compression. Within the next few quarters, we will have capacity to build more than 100 refuelling stations per year, with an integrated first line support team monitoring telemetry from every station.”
