Revolutionary H2 Gas Booster Series : X-TOWER

Another great solution for H2 fuelling systems from Maximator.

The X Tower system is a modular Hydrogen compressor solution for Integrators and manufacturers of H2 refuelling systems. It is sized for small fleet applications up to 900 Bar and in the 10 to 20 kg/hr range.

The range uses the proven Maximator EHB electro-hydraulic boosters, the same as used in the company’s GFS small fleet size hydrogen compressor systems. The modules can be mixed and matched to provide a range of pressure and flow options. The modules are compact and removable for service or exchange.

HULC

Incredible HULC demolishes the hard work of creating modular refuelling solutions with rack mounted Hydrogen generators.

Maximator’s HULC (Hydrogen unique linear compressor) series has been configured to work with standard 19″ rack mounted electrolyser units.

Using this system it is easy to configure modular and expandable high pressure hydrogen systems for vehicle refuelling, power to gas or power to power installations.

Maximator’s Jon Butler says “The beauty of HULC is that modules can be combined to give 140, 400 or 1000 Bar applications. Adding modules can scale up your application and there are standard connecting elements to make assembly of the systems easy. The modules require no electrical energy. Maximator UK can configure standard elements or provide bespoke solutions.”

Gas Booster Stations

Maximator UK’s Portable Gas Booster Stations are a robust answer to solving your gas transfer or pressure testing needs – The MAXIMATOR high pressure boosters are suitable for the oil free compression of gases and air. Industrial gases like Argon, Helium, Hydrogen and Nitrogen can be compressed
to operating pressures of 2,100 bar (30,000 psi), Oxygen to 350 bar (5,075 psi).

Environment Testing System Commissioned

Maximator UK have commissioned and carried out a first test run on an extreme temperature cycling system at a customer in the North of England.
The system is designed to carry out pressure tests up to 450 Bar on high pressure vessels, and cycle temperatures between -50°C and +80°C.
“She behaved beautifully” said Maximator’s Jon Butler. “We have done a few checks and she has phoned home, and the test run went very smoothly.”

Maximator’s new H2 Factory with a Fuel Cell Truck

Mathias Kurras presents our new hydrogen flagship.

Maximator are working to advance our ideas and developments for mobility solutions.

With this in mind, Mathias Kurras presents our new hydrogen flagship – The first of our factories devoted to Hydrogen systems for refuelling.

Maximator UK offers systems from across the Maximator companies for Hydrogen. From full scale “highway” refuelling station systems such as those made in Mr. Kurras’ factory, to systems for small fleet operators to pilot and test equipment for Hydrogen.

New Work Placement Apprentice Builds His First Machine

Our new work placement apprentice has built his first machine!

James, a 16 year old engineering apprentice at Warrington and Vale Royal College, has begun a 22 week placement with us at Winsford fluid systems specialist Maximator.

In only his third week, he has completed and tested his first machine, an air amplifier station. The amplifier station boosts the pressure of air for use in factories where the air compressor doesn’t have enough pressure.

“Under the watchful eye of Ricky, James has completed his first build and we are very proud of him” said Maximator MD Jon Butler. “We are delighted to have James with us. Engineering is my passion and I started my career in a very similar way as an apprentice many years ago. We look forward to helping James start his journey in the engineering world and imparting some of our knowledge”.

First H2 Project

We are proud to be involved in this great new project to deliver green refuelling capability at Mira’s world class facility in Nuneaton. Maximator’s contribution is MAX Compression, our Hydrogen compression technology, and MAX RECAB, a manifold system to allow connection to storage systems. Read more about the project on MIRA’s website, and watch their exciting video below.

Maximator UK Completes Extreme Temperature Testing System

Last week saw this containerised test system leaving Maximator UK for its new home. This system is a fully automatic cyclic test system for testing up to three high pressure vessels with high pressure air at up to 450 Bar. It can also cool down to -50°C and heat up to +80°C.

While it looks like an unassuming blue sea container, its contents are pretty high-tech” said Maximator UK Sales Manager Peter Watts. “You can program in test profiles, load and save them, and the system produces and logs data for analysis”.

Maximator’s Jon Butler added “This was a real technical challenge for us, and -50 is not easy to achieve, but the work has been worthwhile. This is a real achievement for the Maximator UK team”.
